News in brief
Four out of five married couples with dependent children don’t have a Will

The National Consumer Council (NCC) stated recently that close to four out of five married couples with dependent children don’t have a Will. For unmarried couples the figure is even higher, making them particularly vulnerable.

A surviving partner can risk losing personal possessions, cash and property, as current inheritance laws do little to protect unmarried couples.

NCC who carried out the survey of over 2,500 people describes the results as a ticking time bomb and is now calling on the Government for urgent action.

Dying without a Will can leave all sorts of headaches for those left behind. Creating family feuds, and leaving relatives short of their inheritance.
